Over the last 5 years we have had an average of 209 days with wind >15 knots or 57%., practically every other day of the year! If you add to this the numerous other spots along the coast, you can kite practically 365 days a year.

Thanks to its mild climate and the conformation of its coastline, Sulcis Iglesiente is one of the most important kitesurfing locations in Europe.
In fact, the lagoon of Sant’Antioco is a portion of desert land facing the mother island. Being exposed to the mistral wind, due to its proximity to the coast of Sardinia, creates an effect called Venturi, which increases wind speed.
Moreover, the inland coasts of the island of Sant’Antioco, being free of obstacles and with a seabed of about one metre, are ideal for practising freestyle, as well as for learning in total safety, precisely because of the flat water.
